We plan to continue with more wire wrapping techniques in classes in 2022. So it is good to take this class in preparation for those.
Basic Wire Wrapping Class
When: February 24, 2022 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm
Where: The Destin Room, SeaBreeze Recreation Center
Instructor: Greg Vollendorf
What Will Be Covered: This is a basic wire wrapping class that will include some of the wire techniques you have learned in the past and creating a base for the more intermediate to advanced wire wrapping classes that will be introduced in future months.
Supplies Required
- 1 oval gemstone cabochon – approx. 40 x 30mm
- 20 or 21 gauge dead soft wire – 3 pieces at 12” long each – Dead Soft will make it much easier to work with as a beginner
- 24 gauge ½ round wire of the same type – 12+ inches
Tools Required

- Needle nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Wire cutters
- Small dowel rod or pencil to make a bail
There are no special fees for this basic wire wrapping class beyond the $1 workshop fee
Class Results
23 people attended this class, and the results are fantastic. Just about everyone was able to finish their project.
